The Huggy Lady by Rachel Eernisse
The Huggy Lady by Rachel Eernisse

Sarah Hannah’s grandmother loves to hug people. She loves to hug people so much that it always takes her grandmother extra time to get her errands done because she is always stopping to offer a hug! Sarah Hannah asks her grandmother why she does hugs so many people, and her answer inspires Sarah Hannah to start offering hugs with her.

This sweet children’s picture book is based on the true story of Gramma Sharon, and is written by one of her granddaughters. There is a note from the author at the end of the book that gives more detail about the story behind “The Huggy Lady.”

This book honors her memory in a special way, and it is also a wonderful story to read to any child. It will be a treasured keepsake for any reader, and a source of inspiration to show kindness to every person we meet.
