Today’s guest is the very talented children’s author, Robert Vescio.
Robert’s book, Barnaby and the Lost Treasure of Bunnyville , is about a very clever rabbit called Barnaby.
Barnaby is a traveller who likes to collect seeds as he travels from place to place. He is on a quest to plant and produce all things natural in his barren hometown of Bunnyville. But the Mayor of Bunnyville won’t allow it!
So Barnaby devises a clever plan to revive Bunnyville, inspiring the town to follow his lead and understand and appreciate the beauty of what the earth has to offer.
A lesson about the environment
The book focuses on themes of nature and the environment. It encourages children to look after their environment and to enjoy the many benefits it has to offer. Barnaby and the Lost Treasure of Bunnyville is a fun and entertaining tale that can appeal to all ages and demographics.
Robert’s family enjoy getting their hands in the dirt and reaping the tasty rewards of their labour. They have always maintained healthy gardens consisting of carrots, tomatoes, peas and strawberries. It’s a great excuse to enjoy the outdoors, especially in the warm summer days.
Robert says, “I wanted to write a story that demonstrated how one’s positive encounter with nature can make a difference for others to enjoy. It can be planting a garden, planting a tree or even planting flowers. This story introduces and encourages children to plant and grow outdoor/indoor gardens in a fun and creative way.”
Planting makes you happier, healthier and smarter!
