Astro’s Adventures: The Great Escape – Rocky and Sumo make their Escape!

Commander Rocky had gone ahead and was waiting at the door. He checked to make sure no one was there, but it was too late.

The attendant burst through the door and startled the three dogs. He lashed out and struck Commander Rocky in the head with his fist. Commander Rocky fell to the floor. The man went to grab Roxy, but Astro leapt forward and bit his arm. Roxy ran between his legs knocking him over. Astro ran around him and then caught up with her. He showed her where the tunnel was and they escaped together.

Both Commander Rocky and the attendant lay groaning for a few seconds then they both staggered to their feet. They shook their heads in unison and began to circle around each other.

“Don’t even think about it,” growled the attendant. “I don’t care how many dogs you let escape. I’ll put you to sleep in their place instead!”

He sneered at Commander Rocky who bared his teeth and growled. The attendant slowly rolled up one sleeve, then the other. He took a deep breath and moved towards Commander Rocky.

Commander Rocky was still a bit shaky, but he was alert enough to notice a dark brown shadow slowly moving up behind the attendant. Realizing that Sumo had come to save him, Commander Rocky lunged forward quickly.

The attendant got such a surprise and stepped back only to find he was falling over the body of an old brown dog laying on the ground again. He swore and cursed and tried to lurched back to his feet, but he couldn’t. He crashed to the floor and passed out from a nasty bump to his head.

The two old friends ran quickly toward the tunnel and escaped.
