We all love our grandchildren more than anything else, but let’s face it – it is hard work when they visit.
With Christmas all wrapped up here are 5 ways you can relax and rejuvenate in a jiffy!
Remember that it is important you look after yourself, and what better way than following these 5 tips.
Fill up the tub with warm water, and drop in some of your favorite bath salts or bubbles.
Or, why not both!
Let those tired muscles relax and enjoy some time to yourself in peace and quiet.
While we advocate sharing books with your grandchildren as a great way to bond with them, why not pick up a book for yourself.
Find a comfortable place where it is quiet and you won’t be found – I mean disturbed.
Go for a nice walk in a beautiful spot.
If you live by the sea or near the mountains pop on the appropriate footwear, and head out.
Walking in new environments is a great way to stimulate your thoughts and recuperate after a busy period in your life.
You never know, you might enjoy it so much you end up making it part of your daily routine.
4. Catch up with friends
If you have spent the last few days with your family – as wonderful as they are – it’s important that you spend time with people who are the same age as you.
You can share your common complaints, thoughts and loves over a nice cuppa.
5. Connect with nature
If you live in a rural area or you have a great park in your neighborhood, get out and use it.
You may have a lovely garden where you love to spend time.
We all know how important it is to connect with nature in some way.
A natural environment doesn’t have to be anything grand. It can be a quiet nook where there are flowers, bees and birds to keep you company.
While relaxing make sure that your phone is off and unless it is important, don’t answer the door either. The world can wait for a short time while you relax and recoup your energy.
